Within the SVTI, the Pressure Vessel Inspectorate is responsible for all safety matters related to stationary pressure equipment and systems. Its primary concern is to prevent accidents, disruptions and damage during the operation of pressure plants.

We are accredited as an inspection body (type A) by the Swiss Accreditation Service SAS for the safety-related assessment of pressure equipment and systems as well as pipeline systems. (SN EN ISO/IEC 17020:2012)
The objective of the Pressure Vessel Inspectorate is to prevent accidents, malfunctions and damage while operating pressure equipment, thus ensuring the safety of people and the environment. This oldest inspectorate in the SVTI can rely on a wealth of experience as well as advanced NDT procedures and state-of-the-art technologies.
