Areas of application

The non-destructive testing (NDT) laboratory can draw on a wealth of experience and diverse expertise in NDT of metallic and mineral materials.

Through our practical scientific work in non-destructive testing of concrete components at the Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung (BAM) [Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing], the Fraunhofer Institute for Nondestructive Testing (IZFP) and the University of Florida, we understand the needs of construction practice and can develop targeted, efficient solutions to relevant issues.

We enhance this expertise through regular activities in nuclear power facilities in Switzerland as part of recurring inspections and are therefore qualified and certified as a Level 3 testing supervisory body according to ISO 9712 in VT, PT, MT, UT, ET and LT procedures. We can also draw on our comprehensive experience in the qualification of NDT systems as experts for the Swiss NDT qualification body.

We use this specialised knowledge to drive developments in non-destructive testing, whether in nuclear applications or in construction
