Legal basis
In order to remove technical barriers to the trade of industrial goods, Switzerland and the European Community have concluded an agreement on mutual recognition in relation to conformity assessment (MRA) which entered into force on 1st June 2002 (SR 0.946.526.81).
To facilitate the equivalence of the Swiss und European legislation, Switzerland has implemented the European Directive 2014/68/EU on pressure equipment and Directive 2014/29/EU on simple pressure vessels into Swiss legislation.
