Recurring inspections pursuant to EKAS 6516
Do you have to register your pressure equipment?
Pursuant to the Ordinance on the Utilisation of Pressure Equipment, your pressure equipment must be registered if it meets one of the following conditions:
- pressure equipment with a risk of overheating
- design pressure (PC) >0.5 bar
- product of pressure and content (bar × litres) > 200 - pressure vessel without a risk of overheating with gaseous content
- design pressure (PC) >2 bar
- product of pressure and content (bar × litres) > 3,000 - pressure vessel without a risk of overheating with liquid content
- design pressure (PC) >50 bar
- product of pressure and content (bar × litres) > 10,000 - piping for steam or hot water with a temperature in excess of 110° Celsius
- design pressure (PC) >2 bar
- nominal size (DN) >100
- product of pressure and content (bar × DN) > 3,500

Registration and inspection manual for your pressure equipment
