The Nuclear Inspectorate supervises the manufacture, installation and operation of pressure-bearing installations in Swiss nuclear power stations. It reviews the design approval documentation for components and systems, supervises their manufacture and installation, assesses various sets of technical documents, and supervises the periodic testing within the framework of the annual outages of the nuclear power stations. Contracting authority is the Swiss Federal Nuclear Safety Inspectorate ENSI.
